About Taylor Anne
Hey there! I'm Taylor Anne, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to my creative world.
Ever since I was a kid, I've had this insatiable passion for art. Crafting and art supplies were always at the top of my wishlist, and if there was an art class available, you bet I was signing up. Middle school introduced me to the world of drawing, and high school saw me eagerly diving into ceramics. Even when I pursued a career in preschool education in college, I couldn't resist sneaking in as many art classes as possible. Sculpture, drawing, ceramics – I did them all.
What I truly love about my art journey is that it's led me to this unique style you see today. It's all about the tactile experience for me – creating with my hands, not just a pencil or paintbrush. I use heavy body texture acrylics to build depth and texture in my paintings. I'm like a pastry chef with paint, piping it like frosting to craft intricate flowers.
Nature is my muse, and I'm constantly inspired by my travels and the world around me. You'll often find me on walks, hikes, and national park adventures, pausing to admire the flowers and leaves that catch my eye. I'm that person who stops to take pictures, storing them away as references for future pieces. Sometimes, I incorporate specific flowers into my art because of a cherished memory or a loved one's favorite bloom.
My favorite part of the creative process? Piping that paint to bring flowers to life! But I won't lie; I used to struggle with finishing my work. So, completing an artwork gives me an immense sense of pride.
What truly warms my heart, though, is sharing my art with others. Whether it's the sentimental connection to a particular flower or simply the appreciation of nature's beauty, I love seeing the joy my art brings to people.
Taking this art journey public through Instagram and this website has been a significant milestone for me. It's been a tad nerve-wracking because I'm baring my soul with every creation, and I sometimes questioned if I was "qualified" to share my art, not being a classically trained artist. But you know what I've realized? Anyone can create.
Oh, and a big shoutout to Gaffrey Art Materials – their heavy body texture acrylic paint has been a game-changer in my art. When I discovered other artists using it, I was hooked. It's like the perfect marriage between sculpture and painting, letting me explore new avenues of creativity.
So, here we are, on this art-filled journey together. I'm excited to share my passion, my stories, and my art with you. Thank you for being part of this adventure!
